New Look

So, I’m trying a new template because I wanted to have a pretty custom header like other bloggers.  There’s some aspects of this template that I don’t like as much as the old one.  For instance, I realized that there isn’t a link to an ‘edit post’ function with each published post.  But I do like the look overall.  Let me know what you think!

I like it, it looks good. Visually simple but appealing.

I’ve been thinking a lot about blog make-overs…mine still needs tweaking.

    • Yes, the simplicity and bright look appeals to me. I could never do one of the darker templates. I saw your template as I browsing through – it’s a good one too.

  2. It’s a very clean layout. If you ever want a customized header, I do a little Photoshopping and I just found a huge repository of pretty and free textures and fonts. 🙂

  3. I like it as well. Is there not a way to modify the templates on a account?

I’m a fan of simple layouts, so this gets the thumbs up from me!

I’m not sure about the book at the top of the sidebar though – the simple clip art doesn’t really go with the sophistication of the rest of the page. Other wise it looks really good!

  5. Thanks everyone for the nice comments!

Lit Omnivore – Thanks, I’ll admit I haven’t thought much beyond, “I want to use one of my own photos in a header,” but I’ll let you know. 🙂

Scott – maybe, but I think for some modifications you have to be a paying member. Which I’m not at this point.

Farmlanebooks – Yeah, I was thinking that the book graphic might have to go. It was okay in the old template because there were no other pictures, but I too was finding it incongruous with the new banner and the new template. So thanks for seeing and noting the same thing!
