With church tomorrow morning, I knew I wasn’t going to be doing the whole 24 hours. It’s now about 2:25am my time, and though I just started an interesting new book, The Janissary Tree, it’s time to call it quits and get some sleep.
The read-a-thon has been lots of fun, and I’m happy with how I spent my day. I think I’ll still have some nice spans of time for reading in the rest of this long weekend too.
Total pages read: 1197
Books finished today:
A Dark Dividing by Sarah Rayne (only the last half was read during the read-a-thon)
Boo by Rene Gutteridge
Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn
River Secrets by Shannon Hale
Total time spent reading: approximately 12 hours
My favorite book read during the read-a-thon was definitely Ella Minnow Pea.
For those who are continuing on until the end, I salute you! Good night and good luck!
12 hours! Great job!
congrats on a fantastic readathon 🙂
Congratulations! What a huge amount of reading – I hope you had fun 🙂
Congrats on all the reading you got done, and thanks for stopping by my blog to leave a comment! Ella Minnow Pea is such a funny book; I thought it was a great mine exercise when I read it awhile ago.
You did great during the read-a-thon! I feel asleep around 10 pm and didn’t wake up again until five minutes before the read-a-thon ended! I think I need to read Ella Minnow Pea soon. It seems like everyone in the blogisphere loves it! Have a great week!
Thanks all for the nice comments!
Kim – Ella Minnow Pea is certainly very clever, which makes my brain happy.
Vasilly – you should! You will probably zip right through it as I did.
